We are seeking part-time permanent NP contractors to deliver high-quality care within the Geriatric sector.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide medical services as a Medical Resident Physician (MRP) in a geriatric facility. The successful candidate will operate/run a primary health care clinic, 6 hours per week, managing complex chronic co-morbidities and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. This position offers scheduling flexibility and autonomy.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of medical services as MRP within a geriatric facility
- Management of complex chronic co-morbidities
- Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in the course of care delivery
- On-call responsibilities
- Provide high quality customer service
- Provide clinical/medical education to clients and staff
- Participate in care conferencing
Requirements:
- COVID vaccination
- Completion of recognized Nurse Practitioner program - Primary Health Care preferred
- Current extended class certification with College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience (geriatrics preferred)
- Experience with chronic disease management and geriatric care
- Ability to deal with crisis situations promptly and effectively
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Current vulnerable sector police check
- You must have reliable means of transportation
Salary: $70-$80 per hour. Flexible schedule with on-call commitments.
