Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service at the checkouts, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash registers, mainline, and self-checkouts.
- Replenish merchandise around the checkout area to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all associates.
- Follow loss prevention best practices to minimize shrinkage and protect company assets.
- Comply with all policies and regulations when selling tobacco and lottery products.
Requirements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording transactions.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule
A typical full-time schedule will consist of day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends with a schedule of 35-40 hours weekly. A typical part-time schedule will be a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.
Physical Demands
- Stand and/or walk for extended periods.
- Bend, twist, and squat to perform tasks.
- Lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.).
- Perform tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions.
- Reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
- Operate equipment, including using a ladder.
Keyholder Premium (If Applicable)
Opening and closing the store on an ad hoc basis, ensuring all areas are tidy and secure.
