About the Role

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst at Nutrition International plays a crucial role in the organization's financial management and strategic planning. This position contributes to the overall financial success of the organization by conducting comprehensive financial analysis, creating financial reports, documenting financial processes, and forecasting future trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produces ad-hoc reports and financial analysis when requested, translating information and requirements into meaningful analysis.
  • Maintains up-to-date and reconciled multi-year budgets for all active grants and revenue sources, adjusting files regularly in line with new agreements and quarterly and annual budgeting cycles.
  • Works closely with the Senior Manager, FP&A and the Finance Director, Budgeting and Compliance on the annual budgeting process, including coordination with various stakeholders, consolidation and analysis of NI budgets, and preparation of reports for senior management.
  • Plans, coordinates, and maintains NI's quarterly budget adjustment, forecasting, and variance analysis exercises, providing support to business unit leaders and staff.

Financial Systems and Data

  • Supports the enhancement of systems and databases used for budgeting, contracting, expenditure tracking, performance management, and forecasting to aid analysis, reconciliations, and planning at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Produces, conceptualizes, and leads process flows, internal controls, standardized user guidance, and organizes and delivers trainings on NI's financial systems for new and existing staff.
  • Continually improves and standardizes the use of existing budgeting/financial tools to deliver and communicate insights into business performance.

Management & Training

  • Trains staff within the Budgeting & Compliance team on NI financial systems and processes.
  • Organizes training for new staff and refresher training for existing staff on subjects related to financial systems/applications.
