About the Role

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis plays a crucial role in the financial management and strategic planning of Nutrition International. This position contributes to the organization's financial success by conducting comprehensive financial analysis, creating financial reports, and documenting financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produces ad-hoc reports and financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Maintains up-to-date and reconciled multi-year budgets for all active grants and revenue sources.
  • Works closely with the Senior Manager, FP&A and the Finance Director, Budgeting and Compliance on the annual budgeting process.
  • Plans, coordinates, and maintains NI's quarterly budget adjustment, forecasting, and variance analysis exercises.
  • Validates budget submissions by challenging key assumptions based on actual trends and work plans.

Financial Systems and Data

  • Supports the enhancement of systems and databases used for budgeting, contracting, expenditure tracking, performance management, and forecasting.
  • Produces, conceptualizes, and leads process flows, internal controls, and standardized user guidance for NI's financial systems.
  • Continually improves and standardizes the use of existing budgeting/financial tools to deliver and communicate insights into business performance.

Management & Training

  • Trains staff within the Budgeting & Compliance team on NI financial systems and processes.
  • Organizes training for new staff and refresher training for existing staff on subjects related to financial systems/applications.
