About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Admissions Counsellor to join our team at the University of Toronto. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a critical role in supporting the assessment and processing of applications to undergraduate, first-entry divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to students, parents, and guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes.
  • Review and assess admissions applications, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Develop and present workshops and presentations to the University community on various admission topics.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple systems, including document management and student information systems, to annotate and update documents.
  • Provide formal job-related training and serve as a resource to assigned university colleges, faculties, or departments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years relevant experience in a high-volume admissions environment, preferably in a university or college institution.
  • Direct experience in counselling students in admissions to undergraduate, first-entry divisions.
  • Experience conducting presentations, workshops, and training sessions to external and internal attendees.
  • Advanced computer skills, including word processing, creating and manipulating spreadsheets, and creating PowerPoint presentations.
