Job Summary

The Admissions Counsellor, Undergraduate will collaborate with the Admissions Department to achieve recruitment and enrollment goals. The successful candidate will communicate with prospective students, build relationships, and promote Tyndale University.

Main Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Recruit high-quality students by contacting prospective students through phone, email, and in-person visits.
  • Represent Tyndale University at off-campus recruitment events.
  • Identify opportunities to promote Tyndale University off-campus.
  • Provide guidance to prospective students on undergraduate education.
  • Work closely with Student Admissions representatives to follow up with prospective students.
  • Contribute to the Admissions team.

Application Processing

  • Ensure prospective students receive timely and clear information about their application status.
  • Process and evaluate undergraduate application files.
  • Notify applicants of application decisions and provide post-acceptance instructions.
  • Identify and resolve barriers for undergraduate applicants.
  • Document correspondence with undergraduate students and track application status.
  • Provide status reports on assigned regions, as required.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of sales or recruiting experience, preferred.
  • Experience with a Christian higher education institution, preferred.
  • Experience in database management, preferred.
  • Marketing and customer relations experience, preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment and computer software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours during peak event seasons.
