Contract Management Specialist

Job Summary:
This role will oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to review, approval, execution, and renewal. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract management principles and be able to ensure compliance with contractual terms, legal and regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including contract drafting, negotiation, review, approval, execution, and renewal.
- Conduct thorough review and analysis of contract terms and conditions.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance.
- Work with internal departments and management to ensure adherence to contractual terms.
- Serve as the focal point for formal communications between IMP and external customers.
- Negotiate new and renewal contracts and contract changes.
- Work with internal Legal Counsel in the development and drafting of contractual terms and conditions.
- Attend contract progress review meetings.
- Prepare financial information to support contractual activities.
- Support financial forecasting for contract expenditures.
- Support management of subcontractor relationships.
- Supervise a team of Contract Administrators.
- Maintain a contractual document repository.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' industry experience with Contract Management emphasis.
- Bachelor of Commerce/ Business Administration.
- Preference will be given to those having experience in government contracts analysis and billing.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Above average interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsibility, close attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
