As Executive Director of Consumer Engagement, you will lead our dynamic Consumer Marketing team in Toronto. This exciting opportunity enables you to drive client success within the Consumer PR space while collaborating with a passionate and growing national team.

We seek talented individuals with a passion for the H K brand and our clients. Reporting to the General Manager in Toronto, you will be responsible for overseeing integrated campaigns and account teams, focusing on delivering exceptional client service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing innovative consumer communications strategies, bringing a unique perspective to both client and internal levels.
  • Serving as senior strategic counsel and client lead, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of clients' businesses and developing successful client programs.
  • Providing strategic guidance to clients, anticipating their needs and issues, and introducing them to new capabilities.
  • Independently managing planning processes proactively with clients and as part of larger integrated agency teams.
  • Supporting the Regional Service Lead with day-to-day team management and new business opportunities.
  • Pursuing new business opportunities with a leadership role.
  • Demonstrating creativity and innovation from a client service and team culture standpoint.
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate team members, focusing on helping them build and grow their skills.
  • Staying at the forefront of consumer trends and understanding their implications for our clients.
  • Exhibiting a positive and team-oriented spirit, with a genuine interest in continuing to build a motivated and engaged team.
  • Overseeing a team of 2-4 direct reports.
  • Managing account financials and contributing to growth, ensuring team billability and account profitability.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 10-12 years of agency experience with a focus on consumer marketing.
  • An excellent track record providing client counsel.
  • A proactive and engaged approach.
  • An affinity for mentoring staff and managing complex projects.
  • A proven entrepreneurial focus on business development with an ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
  • An exceptionally curious mind and deep understanding of consumer trends, media landscapes, key influencers, and digital trends.
