The salary for this position is $28.21/hour. Job Description

The Process Technician will be responsible for operating, monitoring, loading and unloading an automated process that applies a protective coating on threaded couplings. The couplings are manually loaded from a pallet onto racks that move them through a series of tanks containing heated solutions before being unloaded back onto a pallet. The technician will need to work independently, transport product to their workstation, set up and maintain the phosphate and water treatment processes, operate the line, visually inspect the product for appropriate coating and defects, maintain traceability of product, and transport the finished product to the next process.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
  • Support the company's vision, mission, and objectives
  • Follow quality system procedures and policies
  • Maintain phosphate tanks at required chemical and temperature levels
  • E nsure proper water treatment discharge according to legislation
  • Be physically able to lift weights up to 80 lbs
  • Perform continuous grasping, lifting, bending, and twisting
  • Have basic knowledge of mathematics
  • Accountable for making improvements or corrections in line with performance measures relative to plant operations goals
  • Cordinate and lead the operation's workforce to ensure safe work practices and product quality standards are met
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Operate a forklift
Requirements
  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education will be considered
  • Post-secondary education in business, trades, or engineering, or a combination of both education and industry experience will be strongly considered
  • Preferred assets: Experience in operating equipment and being mechanically inclined
  • Demonstration of proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office, will be considered
  • Ability to constantly and consistently push self and others to be top performers and exceed goals
  • Ability to use logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
  • Able to provide information people need to do their jobs and make accurate decisions
