Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Emergency Department at BC Children's Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to children and youth presenting with a wide range of mental health and medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to children and youth in the Emergency Department, including physical and mental health assessments, administering medications, and developing care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Graduation from an approved Nursing Program with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year recent related experience working with children, adolescents and families in a child/adolescent mental health or inpatient setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current CPR and CPI training.
