**Job Title:** Senior Kitchen Leader

Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned senior kitchen leader to join our team at Henry's Restaurant and Wine Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate costs of supplies and food items, maintain records of food costs and consumption, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient culinary operation.
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff, create new recipes, and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.
  • Supervise and train staff to maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation, prepare complete meals and specialty foods for events, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions, and plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants.
  • Plan menus, ensure food meets quality standards, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.

As a senior kitchen leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced chefs and cooks to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and develop staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with experience in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
