Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. As a General X-Ray Technologist, you will perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols, including general x-ray, O.R., Portables, Gastric exams, Fluoroscopy, and minor procedures.

The ideal candidate will have past experience in Emergency, Operating Room, and Portable Radiology. You must be registered and in good standing with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and CAMRT is preferred.

This role requires excellent attendance and discipline-free record, as well as the ability to work independently or part of a team internally and externally to the Medical Imaging Department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols.
  • Ability to operate all types of equipment, including general x-ray rooms (DR & CR), mobile x-ray, c-arm fluoroscopy, general fluoroscopy, and multi-purpose rooms.
  • Prepare and assess patients for radiologic procedures, including obtaining consent and confirming exam validity, resourcing radiologists as necessary, and sterile technique practices.
  • Complete exam process by image review, confirming documentation, and presenting to radiologists for reporting via film and/or PACS.
Requirements
  • Must be registered and in good standing with CMRITO.
  • Past experience in Emergency, Operating Room, and Portable Radiology.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team internally and externally to the Medical Imaging Department.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline-free record.
