Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver Supervisor to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a vital role in supervising and managing a team of drivers for our western locations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and managing a team of drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, safety regulations, and procedures
  • Working closely with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely service to our customers
  • Scheduling and coordinating driver assignments, routes, and deliveries to meet operational goals and customer demands
  • Monitoring driver performance, conducting regular performance evaluations, and implementing improvement plans when necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies, including safety standards and vehicle maintenance
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports related to driver activities, performance, and incidents

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AZ or DZ license preferred, roll-off or lugger experience is an asset
  • 2+ years experience in a supervisory role
  • 5+ years experience in the transportation, logistics, or solid waste industry
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of making effective decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and transportation management software and technology for tracking and reporting
  • GEOTAB experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
