We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team at Northumberland College. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial support and assistance to various departments, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Job Summary

The Financial Operations Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Preparing and processing financial reports, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets
  • Reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate financial records
  • Providing financial analysis and recommendations to management
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow, including forecasting and budgeting

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a related field, such as accounting or finance
  • At least one year of experience in a financial role, preferably in a higher education setting
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles and practices, including accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in financial software and systems

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately $45,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, with a 35-hour workweek. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication.
