Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in identifying strategies to optimize business operations and services, and inform business decisions.

About the Role:

  • Elicit requirements and analyze feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
  • Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
  • Develop informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Apply depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Build test cases in order to validate business requirements and End-User Testing results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Provide expert-level support to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with business initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Proficiency with Unix shell scripting and expertise with SQL preferably with Oracle.
  • Experience in Reporting frameworks like BIRT/Business Objects/Crystal reports or similar.
  • Experience with scheduling tools like autosys/control-m or equivalent.
  • Experience with FX cash or FX options.
  • Business architecture frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Analysis and Management.
  • Digital Fluency.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, BMO Financial Group offers a comprehensive total compensation package that includes performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
