Job Description

As a Senior Business Optimization Specialist at the Bank of Montreal, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through data analysis, process optimization, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and identify opportunities to optimize business operations and services, informing business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Define business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing and documenting business processes, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the effect of projects on business results by sourcing business and market data, assessing efficiency and performance of technology, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with business requirements, developing informative project documents and applying domain expertise to drive business value.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in business analysis, process optimization, or data analysis.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting, SQL, and reporting frameworks like BIRT/Business Objects/Crystal reports or similar.
  • Experience with scheduling tools like autosys/control-m or equivalent, as well as business architecture frameworks and stakeholder analysis and management.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
