We are seeking an experienced HSQE Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role working collaboratively within the HSQE department. The successful candidate will be well-versed in federal regulations related to regulatory compliance, incident investigations, internal/external auditing, risk assessment, and reporting while promoting a vibrant safety culture.

Salary

Approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a key member of the HSQE team, you will provide specialized support for the Company's HSE policies and programs, ensuring compliance with applicable international, federal, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Develop and implement H&S policies, procedures, and emergency response programs to mitigate risks;
  • Participate in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the company quality, safety, and environmental management system (QSMS);

You will drive system compliance among vessel, operations, and technical leaders under all H&S programs, initiatives, aiming for zero harm. Employ HSQE best practices and risk assessment methodologies to minimize risks to crews, assets, customers, and the environment across all aspects of the organization's operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or diploma in H&S or a related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or transportation industry;
  • Knowledge of federal health and safety regulatory requirements;
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards to the marine industry;
  • Certified trainer or experience in providing training such as First Aid & CPR is considered an asset;
