Job Description

The Clinical Laboratory Specialist performs analytical tests and procedures using appropriate methodologies and quality assurance techniques. This role requires technical ability and problem-solving skills to perform various tests in clinical and environmental laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests following established protocols and work with minimal supervision during emergency situations.
  • Operate computer-integrated instruments and use information systems to compare test results with pre-established criteria.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality as per the Medical Laboratory Technologist Code of Conduct.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Licensed with NSCMLT or eligible for registration.
  • Registration with CSMLS.
  • Able to work shiftwork, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
Benefits

This temporary, full-time position comes with a competitive salary of $30.83 - $37.54 hourly. Successful candidates may also be eligible for relocation assistance up to $5,000 with a defined Return of Service contract.
