Job Title: Business Unit Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business Unit Leader to join our team at IBI Group in BC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, talent development, and growth of our Roads & Highways business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the country business unit with accountability for P&L performance, service quality delivery, and profitable growth.
  • Develop and implement the country business plan, ensuring the team understands it and their role in its achievement.
  • Lead the identification and targeting of clients through service excellence, delivering growth in organic revenue and winning work in the country business unit.
  • Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Coach and mentor practice group managers, service managers, project managers, and technical managers to ensure all projects are set up for success and appropriate governance is adhered to.
  • Lead the identification of talent in the business unit, both in technical and project delivery capability and sales, and promote career development by directing individuals to appropriate development programs.
  • Lead decisions on resource utilisation within the business unit, maintaining the integrity of the unit composition and pyramid management structure.
  • Lead the identification and management of risk in service delivery, ensuring compliance with governance processes and leading to service excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the business unit's clients and the market, identifying key trends and emerging opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 15 years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Strong understanding of the business, the market, and the clients.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement a country business plan that drives growth and service excellence.
  • Ability to lead the identification and management of risk in service delivery.
  • Ability to maintain an in-depth understanding of the business unit's clients and the market.
  • Ability to promote career development within the team.
