About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate, Infrastructure Investments to join our team in Montreal. As an Associate, you will play a key role in the investment process, including research, origination, due diligence, and analysis of investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analysis of investment opportunities, assessing key merits and risks, and providing recommendations to the investment committee.
- Assess target companies' historical and projected financial information, strategic positioning, and value proposition, as well as industry dynamics and regulatory environment.
- Prepare and support the preparation of investment memorandums and presentations to the investment committee.
- Participate in due diligence activities, including coordination and review of work performed by third-party advisors.
- Monitor periodic financial and operating results, and prepare ad hoc analyses of portfolio companies' performance and trajectory.
- Support the portfolio companies' periodic valuation process and work alongside management teams to assess and execute investment opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Three to five years of relevant financial analysis, accounting, modeling, valuation, and/or transactional experience in consulting or investment banking services, financing, investing, or corporate development.
- Experience in the infrastructure and/or energy sectors is an asset.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, excellent analytical skills, and sound critical judgment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as financial analytical tools and databases.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French (or a willingness to learn French if not already acquainted).
