Job Title: Waiter/Waitress

Hotel North is seeking a skilled Waiter/Waitress to join our team. As a key member of our dining room staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Food and Beverage Service: Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
  • Order Taking and Relay: Take orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Table Management: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and balance cash and record sales.
  • Wine and Beverage Knowledge: Describe and advise on wine selection and other beverages.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with Aloha Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, and working under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and reliable.
Working Conditions:

20 to 40 hours per week, seasonal work term, and English language required.
