Job Title: Waiter/Waitress

Hotel North is seeking a skilled and friendly Waiter/Waitress to join our team. As a key member of our dining room staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
  • Prepare and serve specialty food at customers' tables
  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
  • Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
  • Balance cash and record sales
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Describe and advise on wine selection
  • Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • Serve food and beverages
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Aloha Point of Sale (POS) and Point of Sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
