Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our care team as a Care Team Leader. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and clinical skills to coordinate and support daily care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support daily care delivery, ensuring quality and individualized resident-focused care is provided.
  • Lead and mentor the nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent care standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Care and other departments to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring resident needs are met and care standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and report on care delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance care delivery.
  • Act as a role model and leader, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing license with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Successful annual RAI competency testing.
  • Additional training and previous experience in the care of the frail elderly and physically and mentally handicapped persons.
  • Valid OFA2 certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in the English language.
  • Recent related clinical practice experience within the last five years.
  • All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.

  • Ability to supervise staff, establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff, and function as a role model.

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Ability to operate related equipment and electronic programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including repetitive tasks, lifting, squatting, bending, standing, and walking as required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice and life-long learning.
