Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our healthcare services.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including registered nurses, allied health clinicians, and a clinical pharmacist, to provide comprehensive patient care. This will include:

  • Comprehensive Assessment and Diagnosis

Conduct thorough assessments of patients to diagnose diseases, disorders, and conditions, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Healthcare Management and Therapeutic Interventions

Initiate treatment plans, including healthcare management and therapeutic interventions, and prescribe medications as needed.

  • Medical Coordination and Team Planning

Participate in multidisciplinary team planning to ensure the ongoing health needs of patients are met.

  • Clinical Teaching and Preceptorship

Contribute to the development and operation of a team-based practice-wide program, including health promotion, disease prevention, chronic disease management, and specialty care of specific populations.
