Job Description

This role is part of our warehouse operations team, responsible for preparing and distributing products to our retail stores. Key duties must align with Food Safety standards and promote a quality service approach to customers, employees, and suppliers. Performance in this role must be consistent with the Farm Boy Way.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Use a scanner system to accurately pick orders and train new employees on scanning procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform daily inventory checks at designated warehouse breaks.
  • Assemble orders for delivery and ensure proper documentation and stacking procedures are followed.
  • Maintain product rotation to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Keep receiving equipment, areas, coolers, and storage facilities clean and organized.
  • Dispose of collected garbage immediately.
  • Ensure work and storage areas remain clean and safe, with general housekeeping performed as needed.
  • Comply with health and safety standards and procedures, especially regarding equipment use and customer safety.
  • Perform janitorial duties as required.
  • Be available for other related tasks as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • Warehouse experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience operating scanners and motorized equipment, including ride-on pallet jacks, walkie equipment, and order pickers.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision from directives.
  • Good physical fitness.
  • Superior cleanliness standards.
  • Flexibility regarding availability and scheduling.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both official languages is considered an asset.

Work and Sensory Environment:

  • Exposure to potentially hazardous or unpleasant environmental elements, such as noise, dust, and extreme temperatures.
  • Providing service to multiple people or departments under simultaneous deadlines.
  • Possible requirement to wear protective clothing or equipment.
  • Need to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
