The BC Cancer Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advancement Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our donors and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a meaningful experience for donors through effective communication and interaction, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of CRA regulations and best practices for gift processing and recording, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare and proofread tax receipts and letters to donors in accordance with CRA rules and regulations.
- Input clean and accurate data into our database through various processes, including manual entry and mass imports.
- Maintain constituent records data hygiene in our database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist with handling enquiries and requests from Development staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Open and distribute incoming mail and assist with coordinating the flow of information internally and with other departments.
- Contribute ideas and feedback regarding process improvement and maintain up-to-date knowledge of PCI compliance.
- Provide assistance with cross-training Advancement Services staff and assist with greeting visitors as needed.
- Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with donors, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and balance diverse workloads and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, with flexibility to adapt and perform optimally.
- Strong data entry and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge or another customer relationship management system is an asset.
- Computer skills: demonstrated competence in computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competitive salary range: $47,000 - $52,000.
- 4 weeks' vacation plus office closure between Christmas Eve and New Year's, as well as half days office closures before each statutory holiday.
- Comprehensive benefit package, including coverage for health, dental, vision, and various paramedical services.
- Participation in the Municipal Pension Plan.
