Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Childcare Professional to join our team at the Yellowknife Women's Society. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a warm and inclusive environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive development in children aged [insert age range]. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing daily programs that meet the needs and interests of children, ensuring variety and engagement.
- Supervising children during activities and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintaining open communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and participation in the program.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of services and achieve desired outcomes.
- Performing administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records and completing incident reports as needed.
- Pursuing ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- A satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector search.
- Up-to-date immunizations and tuberculosis screening.
