Job Title: Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a qualified Childcare Assistant to join our team at 2007715 Alberta Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare
  • Permanent position, 35 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
