Job Title: Tax Manager

Durward Jones Barkwell & Company LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for leading tax planning engagements, preparing technical tax memos, and conducting tax research.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of accounting experience in a public accounting practice, with a minimum of two years specializing in taxation. A Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA, CA) is required, and a willingness to enroll in the CPA In-Depth Tax Course or successful completion of the MTax program is an asset.

  • Lead tax planning engagements and prepare technical tax memos
  • Conduct tax research and interpret tax legislation
  • Correspond with the Canada Revenue Agency and provincial ministries
