Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop team members to enhance performance management and drive business results.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Ensure the accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank and credit card statements, and maintaining compliance with ASPE and USA laws.
  • Sales Tax Management: Manage sales taxes in both USA and Canada jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Operational Efficiency: Enhance operational efficiency by updating ERP system modules, such as Power BI, to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • Sales Analysis: Evaluate sales patterns, promotional effectiveness, product return rates, month-on-hand analysis, and landed cost reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and finalize monthly financial reports, including General Ledger, Trial Balance, Financial Statements, and cash flow, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective management practices, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Pricing Strategy: Establish pricing strategies to meet contribution targets and desired sales velocity, driving business growth and profitability.
Requirements:
  • CPA Certification: Must have a valid CPA certification.
  • Accounting Experience: Must have 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Retail Experience: Must have 3-5 years of experience in dealing with retail markets, with a strong understanding of sales tax management and inventory control.
  • Analytical Skills: Must have strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and drive business insights.
  • Leadership Skills: Must have good leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
