Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced bilingual pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacy Strategy Specialist. This role will provide thought leadership to inform our pharmacy strategy in the Quebec market, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to service clients and support product development within our pharmacy benefit management team.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in our Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, bringing the Quebec perspective to inform drug benefit evaluation and listing decisions.
  • Provide guidance on formulary development, drug benefit administration, and drug claims adjudication while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support and provide subject matter expertise to our pharmacy clinical services team as it relates to evaluation of drug prior authorization requests.
  • Be accountable for competitive positioning, product development, management, and maintenance of our pharmacy product portfolio with a focus on the Quebec market.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for existing and new pharmacy products and offerings.
  • Monitor and evaluate relevant industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the pharmacy benefits industry with a focus on the Quebec market.
  • Work directly with clients to field, manage, and respond to drug and pharmacy inquiries.
  • Collaborate with our client service team to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
  • Develop and deliver pharmacy benefits-related presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and support creation and maintenance of best-in-class RFP responses for pharmacy offerings.
  • Attend and/or represent Green Shield at conferences and other industry events.
Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of the regulatory and competitive environment for prescription drugs and pharmacy benefits.
  • Awareness and ability to anticipate key trends in the industry.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and documentation skills; able to convey complex information clearly and succinctly to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed; able to make effective decisions and recommendations leveraging team expertise and/or independently.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Written and spoken bilingualism in French and English.
  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing to practice in the province of Quebec.
Estimated Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
