Safety Operations Manager

Transforming School Transportation Safety
First Student Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled Safety Operations Manager to join our team in Toronto, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the driver hiring and compliance process, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Provide guidance and direction to location trainers, contributing to the development of classroom training content.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries, determining fault or preventability and providing post-accident counseling to drivers.
- Prepare and submit accident-related compliance forms, maintaining accurate records and submitting data to relevant parties.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct monthly safety meetings, aligning with company safety goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- 5 years of operations experience, including roles within operations starting with the driver position.
- Experience in a safety role is preferred, with a strong commitment to safety and knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations.
- Proficient computer literacy, with expertise in Microsoft Office products and experience with software such as timekeeping and payroll systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.
