About the Role


We are seeking a talented Global Design Lead to join our team at McDonald's. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in architecture or interior design and is passionate about creating innovative solutions for restaurant development.


Key Responsibilities



  • Developing space planning solutions for existing locations and new restaurant opportunities, including back of house, dining room, and kitchen equipment layouts.
  • Adapting the latest McDonald's kitchen equipment standards and global design concepts, both exterior and interior.
  • Cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including National Operations and other McDonald's departments, Owner/Operators, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of project progress and communicating updates to relevant parties.
  • Supporting key initiatives that drive restaurant capacity and modernization of the customer experience.

Requirements



  • A post-secondary degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch, etc.) and/or Interior Design.
  • Demonstrated work experience in architecture or interior design, with knowledge of QSR or food service clients, ASME drawings, peer review, and red-lining of drawings, as well as organization of drawing sets.
  • Technical skills in software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and PowerPoint, with familiarity with Smartsheet.
  • Agility and ability to lead multiple projects at any one time, working as a team member and facilitating a collaborative working environment.

You are a change agent who can think critically and make decisions quickly. You have experience working in fast-paced environments and are comfortable adapting to changing priorities.


The Opportunity

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
