About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our Indigenous Engagement business practice. This exciting new role will drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and foster meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to establish a revenue-generating consulting service focused on Indigenous Engagement.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to teams working in or near Indigenous territories, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and capitalize on Indigenous opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders to maximize participation.
  • Cultivate relationships with local Indigenous communities and internal colleagues to promote support and collaboration.
  • Support regional operations with contracts, bids, and projects as required, promoting seamless execution.
  • Educate project teams and business units on building effective relationships with Indigenous communities.
  • Monitor performance metrics related to Indigenous participation, collaborating with teams to optimize results.
  • Manage Indigenous vendor lists for current and upcoming projects, ensuring streamlined procurement processes.
  • Lead interactions with government agencies and departments regarding Indigenous Engagement matters.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and update communication materials for Indigenous communities.
  • Promote Indigenous knowledge and leadership within business units and the organization as a whole.
  • Establish KPIs, metrics, and data analytics to measure the IE business strategy's effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
  • University undergraduate degree in Public Relations, Political Science, Communications, Environment, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities, preferably in environmental, mining, infrastructure, energy, or construction sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects, procurement processes, and associated contracts.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include a comprehensive compensation package, opportunities for professional growth, and a dynamic work environment.
