Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Stock Transportation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in diesel engines, electrical systems, and other complex components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard
  • Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex issues and improve maintenance efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance, preferably in a fleet environment
  • Certification in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and brake repair
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
