This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
- Read job orders, observe, and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
- Perform general and detailed repairs of all trucks, engines, and components.
- Document work performed.
- Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments as needed.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
- Attend training classes and stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S).
- Good communication skills and work attitude.
- Quality-driven.
- SAP experience is an asset.
- Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
- Criminal Record Check.
- Driver's Abstract.
- AZ/DZ License is an asset.
