Audiology Career Opportunity
Amplifon, a global leader in hearing care, is seeking a skilled Hearing Care Specialist to join our team in Kamloops, BC. As a Hearing Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional client care and providing personalized hearing solutions to individuals in need.
About the Role:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing tests and interpret results to recommend suitable hearing aid solutions.
- Counsel clients on the latest hearing aid technology and help them identify a solution that meets their hearing needs and lifestyle.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing a caring and personalized experience.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technology to provide clients with ongoing hearing health education.
- Foster hearing healthcare awareness through community outreach and partnerships.
- Contribute clinical expertise to corporate initiatives and projects, and supervise or mentor students and new staff members as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming and efficient clinic culture that meets company standards.

Requirements:
- Masters degree in Audiology or a diploma from a recognized Hearing Instrument Specialist program.
- Registered and in good standing with applicable regulatory college or provincial governing body.
- Current knowledge of hearing aid technology and devices.
- Students and recent graduates who are completing their licensure requirements are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to build and maintain professional rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Able to work independently, autonomously, and as a collaborative leader of a team.
- Able to discern and maintain client confidentiality.
- Able to prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without jeopardizing the client experience.
- Proficient with MS Windows and Office.
- Experience with client database systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance and agency coverage for hearing care services.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Possess the mobile dexterity necessary to operate audiological equipment and execute the fitting and molding of hearing aid devices.
- Able to move equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Frequently sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
- Able to work on-site in the environment described above to perform the essential functions of this job.
