Job Title: Assistant Manager - Operations

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Operations to join our team at Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating daily operations, planning and organizing daily operations, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
  • Set staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize overtime.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Leading/instructing individuals to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Supervision: The Assistant Manager - Operations will supervise 1 to 15 staff members, depending on the location and business needs.

Computer and Technology Knowledge: The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The Assistant Manager - Operations will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines. The role requires standing for extended periods and attention to detail.
