Senior Freight Development Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Freight Development Manager to join our team at Linear Logistics Ltd. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will see you playing a key part in establishing and fostering relationships with potential customers engaged in freight movement across various transportation modes.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of experience in all stages of the sales cycle, with a strong focus on relationship building and maintenance. You will be confident in your ability to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones, with evidence of strong negotiation skills and the ability to consistently exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Relationship Building: Contribute to the growth of our business by forging strong and lasting relationships with customers, gaining an in-depth understanding of their needs and consistently exceeding their expectations.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales call goals while effectively managing a sales funnel, taking a proactive approach to identifying new customers and opportunities for business development.
  • Market Expansion: Utilize a hunter mindset to actively seek out new customers and potential opportunities for business development, positioning Linear as the preferred new vendor in the market.
  • Relationship Leveraging: Capitalize on existing relationships to grow and manage sustained and mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Collaborative Energy: Demonstrate a collaborative and team-oriented mindset to work alongside an exceptional team of operators, embracing challenges with enthusiasm and contributing to the collective success of the organization.
  • Data Entry and CRM Management: Ensure accurate and timely data entry of sales leads and maintain contacts made with potential or existing clients in HubSpot CRM, utilizing tools to streamline communication and enhance customer relationship management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Freight brokerage, with a combination of education and experience being considered.
  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • CRM experience, preferably Hubspot.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and professional development opportunities.
