Director of Optimization Research

CAE Flight Services is seeking a highly skilled Director, Operations Research to lead our international team specializing in optimization services. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing analytical methods to solve complex problems and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of optimization experts to design and implement mathematical programming models for real-world optimization problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
- Develop and maintain complex software solutions using C++ and other programming languages.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in optimization techniques and technologies.
- Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in optimization solutions, with a strong background in mathematical programming models.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience leading international teams.
- Strong knowledge of C++ (11+), object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
