About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual to live an increasingly independent life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support and encouragement to help individuals achieve their life goals
- Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Accompanying individuals on community outings, including volunteering, employment, and leisure activities
- Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and goal progression
Available Positions
We have two permanent full-time positions available, each working 30 hours per week. The shifts for these positions are Monday to Friday, with potential for evenings and weekends.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of the person-centered and active support approach. Additionally, you will require:
- Ability to maneuver a wheelchair
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Clear criminal record (paid by CLS)
- Clean driver's abstract
- Comfortable navigating the transit system
- Comfortable supporting individuals in a pool and gym setting
- Comfortable with personal care
