We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our team at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting research in the field of cellular and molecular medicine, with a focus on neural stem cell reprogramming and differentiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in molecular biology, cell biology, and in vivo animal models
- Develop and implement new research techniques and methods
- Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to advance our understanding of neural stem cell biology
- Present research findings at conferences and publish in scientific journals
Requirements:
- PhD or MSc in a relevant field (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, neuroscience)
- Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and in vivo animal models
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in tissue culture and small animal experiments
- Knowledge of single cell RNA-seq approaches
Contract Details:
- This is a PhD 5-year or MSc 2-3 years full-time contract
- Salary: Minimum Biweekly Stipend/Salary for PhD $1,030.00 and for MSc $911.15
