About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at 9427244 Canada Ltd. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office and ensuring the smooth execution of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
  • Coordination: Coordinate meetings, seminars, and conferences, including arranging logistics and preparing materials.
  • HR Support: Assist with staff consultation and grievance procedures, as well as coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's goals.
  • Communication: Coordinate the flow of information within the team, including preparing and distributing reports and other materials.
  • Operations: Direct and control daily operations, including evaluating daily operations and reviewing HR projects to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Policies and Procedures: Establish and implement policies and procedures, including training other workers and recording and preparing minutes of meetings.
  • Office Management: Determine and establish office procedures and routines, including scheduling and confirming appointments and managing training and development strategies.
  • Customer Service: Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, as well as respond to employee questions and complaints.
  • Supply Management: Order office supplies and maintain inventory, including liaising with management, union officials, and HR consultants.
  • Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll administration, including arranging travel and related itineraries.
  • Database Management: Maintain and manage digital databases, including setting up and maintaining manual and computerized information filing systems.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, work under pressure, and attention to detail.
