Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at N.W.T. Limited. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory. You will analyze operating costs and other data to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchens. Additionally, you will prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, and plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants. You will also plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and recruit and hire staff. Your supervisory skills will be essential in overseeing the activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
- Analyze operating costs and other data
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Recruit and hire staff
- Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks
