About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at 902776 N.W.T. Limited. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and sales data to optimize kitchen operations
  • Analyze financial data to inform menu planning and cost control decisions
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including specialty foods and meals for guests and functions
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  • Consult with clients to plan and execute weddings, banquets, and other events
  • Lead and train a team of chefs and cooks to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Develop and implement menus that meet quality and safety standards
  • Prepare dishes for customers with dietary restrictions and allergies
  • Recruit and supervise staff to ensure excellent service and quality

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and quality standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
