Food Service Sanitation Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Dishwasher with Compass Canada, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our customers receive the highest quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils to the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Maintain the dish and kitchen area, ensuring equipment is clean, in working condition, and complies with safety standards.
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Remove trash and place it in designated containers, and steam clean or hose out garbage cans as needed.
  • Assist in loading, unloading, and transferring supplies, products, and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Previous dishwashing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
