Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Queen's Coach Family Restaurant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and service in our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for menu planning and inventory management.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage during peak periods.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with a focus on maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, wet, and hot environment, with occasional outdoor duties.
  • Fluency in English, with a strong understanding of culinary genres and menu planning.
