Job Title: Case Worker

Job Summary:

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a skilled Case Worker to join our team. As a Case Worker, you will work with clients who have complex mental health and developmental disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with clients who have dual diagnosis disorders, developmental disorders, schizophrenia, and other complex mental illnesses
  • Provide support with activities of daily living, social skills building, and facilitating interventions
  • Participate in groups, clinical team reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Engage in clinical documentation and other duties as assigned
  • Support a healthy workforce that embraces diversity and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements
Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a Developmental Service Worker diploma from a recognized college and have direct experience working with clients who have a dual diagnosis disorder. They will also possess demonstrated skills and experience in the delivery of person-centered planning and the co-ordination of comprehensive and meaningful activities that promote recovery and enhance clients' quality of life.

Highly developed therapeutic relationship and advocacy skills are essential, as well as experience in working with complex clients within a team approach. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) combined with computer literacy are also required.

Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and First Aid certifications are also assets.
