At Comfort Inn & Suites, we are seeking a skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, collecting and screening applicants, and advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop strategies to meet them.
  • Collect and screen applicants, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements, terms and conditions of employment, and any other relevant information.
  • Review candidate inventories and make recommendations for selection.
  • Arrange interviews with potential applicants and notify them of the outcome.
  • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions to fill vacant positions.
  • Prepare job offers and notify applicants of the outcome.
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures.
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail
  • Personal suitability: Flexibility, organized
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 32 hours per week
