About the Job

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage our directory submissions and awards processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining metrics, a repository of rankings and testimonials, and acting as the point person for communications with international directories.

  • Act as project manager for significant directory submission processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Write, edit, and proofread submissions for legal directories and awards, showcasing the firm's expertise and achievements.
  • Create, develop, and facilitate submissions to targeted legal directories and select awards, maximizing the firm's visibility and reputation.
  • Disseminate new information to our experience management database and support data accuracy, ensuring seamless communication across teams.
  • Work closely with lawyers and business development team on process improvements, identifying areas for growth and optimization.
  • Schedule and prepare for directory interviews and maintain a calendar of relevant directories and awards, staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues for internal and external communications of rankings & awards, amplifying the firm's success stories and achievements.
What You Bring
  • 7+ years' professional experience, preferably in a law firm, with a strong understanding of directory submissions and awards processes.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, English, Law, or a related field, with a focus on project management, writing, and editing.
  • Experience with directory submissions to Chambers, Legal 500, and other publishers, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent project management and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and a keen eye for grammar and syntax.
  • Experience with databases or content management software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of Foundation or similar programs an asset.
